Tualatin Noise Ordinance Petition

We, the residents of Tualatin, are requesting a new noise ordinance, and a moratorium on noise variances, in order to address the deficiencies with the current noise ordinance, as outlined on our Noise Ordinance Proposal. This is necessary to preserve and protect neighborhood livability.

Proposed Features of New Ordinance:

• Residential nighttime limit of 40 decibels (10pm to 7am)
• Residential daytime limit of 50 decibels (7am to 10pm)
• Consideration for duration, recurrence, frequency, and characteristics
• No Variances, or Variances only available for temporary situations
